Nondestructive testing (NDT) is a general term of all technical means to determine the technological status of the tested object by using the characteristics of sound, light, magnetism and electricity, without damaging or affecting the performance of the tested object, to detect whether there are defects or non-uniformity in the parts, to give the size, location, performance and number of defects, and then to determine the technical status of the tested object. The main purposes of nondestructive testing are: 1. to improve the manufacturing process; 2. to reduce manufacturing costs; 3. to improve the possibility of products; 4. to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
